Topic: Sustainability is not Optional
It goes without saying that building a Sustainable Tomorrow must start Today. Is your company’s business development plan aligned to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)? Many organisations are already taking initiatives to address Climate Change, positioning their businesses to succeed both in the marketplace and in improving the world for future generations. It is essential that all stakeholders in the Climate Change crisis – companies, governments, and citizens – must adopt sustainable practices in their agendas and must see Sustainability as a business opportunity for the greater good.
India has announced a pledge to achieve ‘Net Zero’ carbon emissions by 2070 at the Conference of Parties (COP26) Climate Summit held recently in Glasgow. To discuss the signifi cance for Indian industry, Bombay Chamber of Commerce & Industry’s Sustainability Conclave is themed around Target Net Zero
and India’s road to reach that target.
The two-day virtual Conclave on December 10 &11, 2021 will have Indian industry’s leading minds discuss, debate and have a meaningful dialogue on why businesses can change from being part of the problem to being a part of the solution.
The Conclave will have Knowledge Sessions that will cover all aspects of Sustainability, from why it makes business sense to how to fund your Sustainability linked performance targets. The challenges to Making Net Zero real and the use of Technology to drive transformation in energy storage and renewable
energy adoption, clean hydrogen and India’s Electric Vehicle mobilisation.
Sustainability is not just about planting trees and managing waste. It’s about developing scalable solutions that can help create a Sustainable Tomorrow.
